I am a shameless Bag Lady!

Hey, COACH COLE HAHN, GUESS who KATE SPADE and LOUIS VUITTON spotted under the MULBERRY tree while visiting MAXX in NEW YORK? No, not a HOBO, but ED HARDY and KATHY VAN ZEELAND. Now, that’s a JUICY REACTION. However, the ECHO in BETSEYVILLE, is they are both old as FOSSILS and neither got LUCKY.

Open my bedroom armoire and you will see Louie, Gucci and Prada all falling over each other. I have been enamored with bags. A lady cannot have too many purses! Most of my treasures come from my proudest shopping memories at thrift stores. Others are bought from over the top clearance sales in fine department stores.

A lady can never have too much baggage, can they?


I remember years ago when there was some baggage in the “corner of my armoire” that I wouldn’t let the Lord take. It was an expensive BIG piece of BAGGAGE and much too heavy to think the Lord would actually take it from me. It weighed a lot and it cost me dearly!  So, I kept it hidden deep inside on the top shelf where no one could see it. I even covered it up with some pretty jewelry and colorful clothes. But, I knew it was there. And sometimes, just knowing it was there hurt so very much and I would cry.

One day while in prayer, the Lord told me to give it up! Give that particular piece of baggage to Him. He told me drop it into His hands and then close my fingers never to take it back again. I no longer am burdened by carrying that excruciating, hideous heavy weight. And, my load is lighter…..

Give up your extra baggage to the Lord. He is strong enough to carry the weight so that you will not have to clutter up that place in your heart that you keep your treasures in.
