Pam, Paula and Patti went to Las Vegas for a sister trip. On the way back home, suitcases just a bit heavier leaving Vegas, we walked up to the Vegas ticket counter. My largest suitcase weighed more than the allotted weight due to our shopping excursions. I plopped the suitcase on the floor, in the front of the long line, unzipped the suitcase to pull out a few pair of shoes to be transferred to my carry-on bag.
After doing so, I folded that humongous suitcase together, grabbed the handle and lifted with all of my might….. I FORGOT TO ZIP THE SUITCASE! I looked in horror at my clothes strewn all over the floor in front of the ticket counter, glancing back at the long line that was now even longer and was embarrassed to my core. The suitcase was so heavy and I was so hurried in humility that the more I stuffed and lifted, the worse I made the situation. Wheels on a suitcase are not always a good thing!
The crowd gawked and squeezed together for a glance at the commotion. I hollered for my older sister. If she couldn’t save me, then who could? Paula! Please help! She gasped, “I can’t!” WHY NOT! “I wet my pants!” This sent me into hysterics. The crowd was enjoying it and I noticed as I looked up that the wheels and my futile lifting attempts had put me even closer to the crowd. As I picked up my granny underpants from the floor, I held them up, looked into the eyes of those standing the closest to me and announced, “Why couldn’t I have brought my size 5's, much smaller bikini cuts, with me on this trip!”
I came so they may have have Life and have it abundantly! John 10:10
...................... Yes you did, My Lord! Life is full of glorious adventures!
